My first acrylic on canvas :D
And the predominant tool to bring this alive were my fingers! Smudge and scrub was the way to go...till of course I reached the ship... 

 


Found so much happening here when I chanced on this picture... Mostly though, it was the Buddhist thought of the soul as a lotus rising and shining forth from the mud and waters of human life. There does seem to be much life in the slush, with water flowing, creating ripples and falls - washing clean and creating anew a lifetime of hopes...
